Caminin dışında bir yerde de ezan okunabilir, ikamet getirilerek cemâatle namaz kılınabilir.
Kaza namazları için de ezan okunabilir, ikamet getirilebilir. Bayram, Vitir, teravih ve cenaze namazları için ezan okunmaz.
Ezan Vacib derecesinde sünneti müekkeddir.
